Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating

The Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating is a not-for-profit trade association, founded in Montreal in 1933. Our members include most of the manufacturers, distributors, and allied companies who directly employ more than 20,000 Canadians in the plumbing and hydronics industries. In 2013 CIPH celebrated 80 years of helping our members, the industry, allied organizations, government and consumers through promoting education, providing news and hosting trade shows.

The Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) is a national association that represents more than 1,300 heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) manufacturers, wholesalers and contractors, and which provides Canadians with the tools and information necessary to ensure their total indoor environment comfort. HRAI offers leadership and training programs for the advancement of its members’ business and technical excellence, promotes a code of ethics for consumer protection and safety, and provides consumers with useful information and a database of members in good standing to support an informed buying process. Through its membership requirements and consumer feedback processes, HRAI is committed to a safe, responsible and fair industry that is environmentally-responsible and sustainable.

The Mechanical Contractors Association of Alberta the voice of the Plumbing and Building Mechanical Contractors and Suppliers Industry in Alberta. Our membership of either open shop or union ranges from a sole proprietorship to national companies in the residential, commercial, institutional and industrial areas of work. Contractor and Supplier members of the MCA of Alberta benefit from our industry advocacy, business support, membership advantage programs and group insurance. The MCA of Alberta is affiliated with the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada, Mechanical Service Contractors of Canada, Canadian Mechanical Contracting Education Foundation and the World Plumbing Council.

Established in 1895, The Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada (MCA) is a vibrant and diverse national trade association serving the needs of mechanical contractors of all sizes engaged in such disciplines as plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, controls systems, medical gases, welding, and fire suppression, primarily within the industrial, commercial, institutional and service sectors. With nearly 1,000 member companies, across 24 regional and provincial MCA offices, the role of the National Association is to encourage, support and promote the advancement of the mechanical contracting industry. The Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada’s mission is to continuously exceed the ever-rising expectations of our membership.

Hardi

HARDI (Heating, Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Distributors International) is the single voice of wholesale distribution within the HVACR industry. HARDI members market, distribute, and support heating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration equipment, parts and supplies. HARDI Distributor members serve installation and service/replacement contractors in residential and commercial markets, as well as commercial/industrial and institutional maintenance staffs. HARDI proudly represents more than 475 distributor members representing nearly 4,100 branch locations, and close to 500 suppliers, manufacturer representatives and service vendors.

The Sheet Metal Contractors Association of Alberta (“SMCAA”) is a non-profit association representing businesses in the sheet metal industry, including union and non-unionized shops.
